Seeing this title, I believe many people will have a question: why continue writing?

If you don’t write continuously, you might ask me: “What is the underlying logic of continuous writing? Where is the top-level design? What is the value of the final delivered content? How do we solve the bottleneck issues faced during the process? What is the ecological niche in the entire ecological chain? Where are the competitive barriers of the content? How do we complete the business loop with readers? Have we created empowerment for readers? How can content undergo explosive fission to achieve maximum value creation?”

If you write yourself, you know that no one can understand the above unless your rank is above P10, then it makes sense...

Output

Many people find writing very difficult and struggle to start. Many mainly don’t know why they should write; everyone has different purposes for writing. I remember when I was a child, as a poor student with bad grades, I could still be called up to read my essays aloud. At my craziest, I even wrote a few novels in my notebooks. If I had been more confident and submitted them back then, I might have received a reply saying they weren’t selected.

Often, we want to express some of our demands. For example, some people want to express their emotions, some may wish to express their opinions on different viewpoints, and some want to share their knowledge. So, have you figured out what your demands are?

However, having too strong a desire to express oneself is not good; it can lead to a self-centered content that no one can understand. I have been reminded by friends several times that there is too much jargon in my writing. We should start from the reader's perspective, understand the environment in which they read your article, their industry and background, and write in a way that everyone can understand.

Thinking

Of course, if this matter does not provide me with positive feedback, then we cannot sustain it. So how do we find internal support without external motivation?

I mainly use writing to think and organize. Every day, our minds are filled with a lot of information, and a large amount of fragmented information floods our brains. What we need is to extract effective information from these fragments and store it.

Here, storage refers to recording the content; our brains are meant for thinking, not for storage. Writing can help you store content effectively.

I wonder if everyone has used mind maps. Why do people feel that using mind maps can clarify things? Because while we are organizing, we also become clearer about the matter.

Writing is similar; it requires organizing a framework. However, based on the mind map, we need to think about how to write the article smoothly and understandably.

This is somewhat like the Feynman learning method (if you’re unclear, you can check my previous articles). When we think about how to express ourselves, it also helps us better absorb content.

Input

Output forces input. We are not people who have tons of ink stored in our bellies; at most, we just have some fat, but fat cannot turn into knowledge.

So we need a lot of reading, others' outputs (text, images, videos, audio, etc.), communicating with others, and drawing from books. If you find that I wrote a bunch of nonsense today, then you guessed right; I’ve been slacking off all day...

As you input more and more, you will find something interesting: many viewpoints and content are common. For example, “Reviewing the old to know the new” means I write down many things I consider common knowledge to tell you, and each time I can also have insights and viewpoints that reinforce my understanding. If you learn in the Feynman way, every time you explain to others, you can also gain new insights. Doesn’t that sound similar?

When the content we absorb becomes more diverse, you will find that no position or job can limit you, and you will become increasingly confused, which will further increase your input, leading you to realize your ignorance and insignificance, becoming more laid-back.

So for someone as lazy as me, outputting is the best way to actively input.

Finally

To summarize, expand your ways of expression and desire to express through output, bring value and growth to others, thereby promoting your own thinking and cognitive improvement, and ultimately force yourself to increase input. With more input, you need to output to digest, forming a positive cycle, which feels a bit like a Möbius strip.

Hmm, sounds quite eco-friendly.
